You see this mentioned alot and I was wondering if this is a "plus" to those who collect rolls. I guess the good part is that you can see each side of the coin and can verify the date of the coin. Is there any other reason that it is a preferred roll?

Is this done intentionally or is it a luck of the draw as to how the coins go into the roll. Does it indicate that it is a searched and put together hand roll?

Just curious as I just bought 3 log cabin rolls and all 3 are heads/tails.

In the box I got of the 2009-D cabin cents from the bank about half of them were obverse on one end and reverse on the other.I think it's all done by chance.

I like it, because if they are Heads, Heads, you cant tell what coin it is (on 2004/2005 nickels, State Quarters). On Tails, Tails, you cant tell what mint it is from. This is the problem on the Presidential dollar coins, and 2009 Sacagawea dollar coins.
