Greetings again, 1980 Lincoln Cent looks like he has a double ear of course I can't find it anywhere and I probably wrong but I don't see a hit anywhere help me out people what am I missing?

The problem with finding doubled ears, is that a lot of them look just like a circulation hit, unless they are a dramatic doubling, I don't even bother with them.

That said, I'm not sure on this one, I'll let the 'ear experts' comment on it.

Who knows anymore........most pictures of doubled ears are blurry and you can't really tell. Could be MD, could be a hit.........

With the current pics, the ear looks short, so I will say damage at this point.

The ear lobe is a high spot from the neck and chin area, so it gets a lot of hit marks that may look like doubling.

My guess is Machine Doubling or a hit.

Agree. Post some much improved photos to get an accurate diagnosis.
..and as stated, earlobe gets alot of hits that may look like a DDO, but are not.

Thanks everyone learn something new everyday and as far as pictures go I don't know how I can get better at them. I tried other ways bike with the box and the sides cut out with filler paper over that but the one I tried a few times putting it directly over the coin on some kind of jar or bottle but they never come out clear you need that certain angle to get them to look better oh well back to the drawing board
