Hi!
I'm brand new to coin collecting. It just sort of happened one day while I was organizing my house. I was putting all the change Icame across into one container, some of it had been boxed up from back in 2000! Anyway, I came across this nickel that I found very interesting, I keep going back to it and searching for others like it, but I don't find any. It's dark brown, almost black, it's still has some shine in places too. Any help would be very appreciated.

First thought is environmental damage, like a once buried coin found with a metal detector.

To CCF! It's just toned from environmental damage. PMD. Probably a once buried coin.
