to the CCF The doubling on the 9 on 001 is very dramatic. It's not there on yours. And yes, way too many pictures. Just md.

Jacobywest,

Not seeing a DDO. http://www.varietyvista.com/01b%20L...9PDDO002.htm
Way too many pics and too close up. Best to post one full coin pic front and back and one or two close ups,but not too close up.

Learn what errors certain coins may have before using that much magnification. Pics that close will show all kinds of anomalies that are not considered errors or varieties.

I agree with jbuck. Even though it's not a DDO it IS in great shape for how old it is.

as stated, not seeing any type of error on this coin, and it is a very nice looking coin.
Your images are quite impressive , but a few of them were a bit too close - I had to back away from my monitor to view them better.
Images 1 and 2 are perfect, (we also like to see an image of the opposite side as well)
But images 6 through 15 are far too close. When you backed off with images 16 and 17 they turned out just great!! aim for that when getting closeup images
(image 18 is again too close)

Another good tip for taking pictures it to make sure that the coin in oriented up right so we don't have to tilt our heads over. (some of us are kinda old - and tilting hurts)

Welcome! Not seeing a DDO.

All things aside, you did a good job as far as the quality of your pictures. They are clear enough to see if there were doubling on the coin. Nice job

A lot of what you are seeing is the appearance of doubling caused by light glare. IMHO

A recommendation on the pic overload: you need to use a grid. I will put my images into a 3x3 or 3x4 grid, screen capture, crop that, resize to 300kB (typically about 800-1000 pixels wide). People don't really object to multiple pictures so much as a long stream of huge individual pictures.

Nice images, but like others have said.

In future threads, it helps us to know what you think the error or variety is. Something on this coin caught your eye, so sharing that with us is helpful.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
