Yes, it's a die chip, very close to the rim and it has a die crack through the rim. So it's "almost" a
Cud.
"Missed it by that much!"
Potentially it might be a pre-cud because of what appears to be die breaks in two or more areas surrounding the die chip that connect to the die chip.
Here's some arrows pointing out the areas of potential die cracks. I marked up your images. Let us know if there are multiple die cracks leading to the rim.
FWIW- Pre-cuds aren't valuable but they can be fun to run across since they are more involved than die chips.
