Hey everybody! What do you make of this? Is it a one-of-a-kind error that Heritage, Stacks/Bowers and Sotheby's will be fighting tooth and nail over to obtain?

Or is it just a simple example of post-mint damage. (*sigh*)

I don't think it is a Greaser either, it looks like a scraping contact mark in that area pushing the metal in the digits out of place.

Keith,.... remember the designer for the obverse of the 36 thru 38 Roosevelt dimes was Una Dogga Katcker so the initials under the bust would be UDK..........
