1937-Buffalo-No-Mint-Mark-Bad-Alloy-Mix-Error

Have any of you ever
Ever come across something like this.
The reverse is showing much more copper but I haven't been able to get the file size all enough with what I'm using.
How does a guy go about placing a value on this? The detail is phenomenal on the entire coin.

This is staining of some sort, not an alloy issue.

You could try soaking it in acetone to see if that would remove whatever that is on the coin.

Agree with the staining assessment--not an alloy issue.

To CCF! It's staining from whatever got on it. PMD. Not an error.

Almost looks like the coin was painted then someone was trying to polish it off but stopped. Where's the reverse photo?

I've found coins with my metal detector that look like this. If two coins are lost together, one coin may partially shield the other from environmental damage. The roughly circular shape of the 'stain' makes me wonder if this was one of a bunch of coins lost in a purse or other container and only the left-hand part of the coin came into contact with the soil.
