1951 D Wheat Cent Possible Planchet Error?

This cent was hard to get out of the roll because it is about half a millimeter wider than usual. There is a lip entirely around the ring of where the rim should be. There is a dent in the middle which is probably PMD. Could this be a planchet error?

@josh, any chance on you tightening up the focus on these pics a bit? I know that you can do better than this. The rim damage that you describe might have come from this cent having been encased at some point, but better pics would def help to confirm this.
