Coin has some circulation wear and die wear, so it isn't as crisp as the Variety Vista listing. Based on the notching to G, E, S in IGWT, I believe this to be DDO-002.

Variety Vista: 1971 $1 DDO-002

Those are nice splits! Don't know much about jbucks dollar but I constantly hear about doubled masters and doubled hubs, so I don't have a clue as to whether it's a double die or not, but as I said, nice splits. I may eventually dig into these.

Yeah, at the very least there is something to see on this coin hunt. It is super tedious when you go through like six coffee cans of beat up Kennedy halves and find absolutely nothing.

makecents, I also wish there were a definitive resource for the MH/MD/WH/WD doubling question. We've got Variety Vista which is built atop old CONECA data, then CONECA itself, and then Wexler. I don't have access to any of the small batch specialized publications, and we don't know if those contain any answers, either.

About the best I can say is that something is listed on CONECA and VV, and present it as such.
