I'm probably wrong so I apologize....I did a lot of research on this 1944 Wheat penny..... says it's made of copper and super rare? This is what I found.... "A 1944 copper penny with no mint mark is a rare and valuable coin."

It has silvery coloring and no mint mark.....

Are you sure it's not brass ?
About one and a half billion of these were struck.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Where did you get that information from? Just curious. If you can, post a link to where you got that information. 1944 Philadelphia Wheat Cents are only worth a few cents in circulated condition. They are not rare.

1944 cents struck on STEEL planchets are the extremely rare coins. Same with the 1943 cents struck on COPPER planchets.

Girlinlove,
Please tell us where you got the info that it is rare.
It also looks cleaned, and your photos are a bit out of focus. Are you filtering your light?

This is the common 1944 Philly mint cent with an alloy of 95% copper. The rare coin is a 1944 cent struck on a left over steel planchet that was used to make the 1943 cents.

Agree with all above. The term ' no mint mark' when used with US coinage is pretty much a red herring. ' no mint mark' = Philadelphia mint.
