1983-D-Lincoln-Penny-Possible-Clad-Error?

Can anyone give me any information on this coin?

My husband a recently obtained this and our curiosity is seriously peaked. Could this be an error coin?

Please help with your coin knowledge.

Thank you!

Interesting. What does the reverse look like? For the record, Lincoln memorial cents are plated, not clad.

the cent is not cladded - it was plated with a thin layer of copper over a silver looking zinc material.
