Whenever I see a good struck-through-thread error, I am always reminded of the tales of tornados driving drinking straws through tree trunks. How hard do you have to hit a thread to drive it into the face of a nickel? HARD. =)

The loop of thread is struck through the obverse top. The thread squiggles over Jefferson's hair, and seems to exit. Both thread ends appear to cross the rim.

Must've been "Bring your dog to work Day" at the mint, there's lots of hair on that coin.
I've never seen a struck thru thread coin in-person, so pretty cool find!

I like it, especially being on a proof coin.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
