Hello Community,

I came across this beautifully preserved 1957 D Nickel. It is too good looking for where I found it.

Could you be kind and tell me if you see DD on this coin?

Just seeing Die Deterioration Doubling. Die flow lines can be seen as well. Those dies were very worn when it struck your coin. Not a Doubled Die. http://doubleddie.com/144801.html

Agreed. A considerable amount of orange peel metal flow resulting from late stage Die Deterioration.

You will need to start searching the known listings for any coin
you think might be a DDO, DDR etc.
Everyone learns this process here.

Thank you all.

for whatever reason these extremely deteriorated nickels are also very shiny. This coin stood out among many new coin and caught my eyes because of its shine. Are these correlated or just a anomaly?

? This coin was struck with dies that were VLDS. Every coin struck with these dies had these radial flow lines.
