Looks like a VLDS to me aka a worn die issue.

The FS is where your red lines are,it is just part of the worn out die issue.

Agree with all above. Does show an advanced case of Die Deterioration. The 'filled' mint mark is not uncommon--a brew of broken post and circulation wear

I agree, a worn out die. The coin also took some hits in circulation.

I don't think it is a mint mark. It looks like a big lump, an irregular shape.

The mint mark was poorly struck (broken post, worn die) and later damaged in circulation.

Very Late Die State. The FS under the bust is so degraded that the letters are illegible. Broken posts are common on D and P mint marks, particularly when the die has been run this hard. It's also possible that the hole got scraped over in circulation—it isn't as deep as the field on this era of nickels.

"Spender" is the best way to describe this coin. Trying to discern errors from a coin in this state is a wild goose chase.
