So I came across this 1981 D penny and it appears something is wrong with Linolns nose? Is this considered a die chip?

Larger and sharper closeup needed.

It's kind of hard to tell from the images provided. It could be a Die Chip, or it could be damaged. Better, in focus close ups of the area would help.

The bridge of the nose looks 'thin'--often the result of over-polishing the obverse die.

Looks like an over polished die issue. https://www.error-ref.com/thinning-...gn-elements/

As mentioned above, my first thought was that die polishing has worn down the bridge of Lincoln's nose, making the nostril appear more prominent. I think that would be a very unusual place for a die chip.
