Not too sure on this. I have read Struck through "Die fill" and "grease" and I feel as this would not fall under either of those categories. So Looking for more opinions and what you guys think.

Looks like staining/discoloration to me.

So I have searched around and only thing I can see is "Die Installation" but o be honest nothing in that section really is a match. Could this be PMD? Maybe taped at one point for a period of time?

It looks like PMD, i.e. staining as E&V said. Another coin was in contact with this coin's reverse for some time for whatever reason. Maybe in a cup holder?
