So I have always quite liked the standard Washington quarters. I have wanted to assemble a sort of set of them.

I had started to assemble a clad set of business strikes, but kind of lost interest.

I might give it another try, but try to collect the silver coins as well.
Now, if I'm not looking for anything ridiculously high grade or uncirculated, I would assume this would be a bit cheaper and easier to accomplish?

Is there any key dates that might set me back quite a bit?

@hum, my recollection is that the '32 D and '32 S are the keys for this series, but neither are stoppers in circulated condition. There may be some semi-keys as well. Hopefully others will weigh in as they read this thread.

I agree, the Key quarters that can get costly will be the 1932 D and S (in higher grades)
This is definitely a doable set to assemble

I've watched a dealer price a complete album of typical found in circulation coins (i.e. pulled out when the silver-->clad changeover began in 1965).

He individually priced the 1932D and 1932S and priced the rest at melt. Typical 90% silver in AG-VF. Quarters were hard-working coins in those days.

He sold the album later that show for $25 more than he bought it for and called it a good deal.

I have a completed 1932-1998 set in a Dansco. It includes proof and silver proof issues from 1968 to 1998.

This is true. And I am so happy I bought them way back in 1997, long before the Statehood Quarters brought attention to them and jacked up the prices!

Nice! And of course, you can't find the Dansco Washington quarter albums now currently. Dansco's website doesn't have them.
I don't think Amazon has them, either. I would most likely just do a business strike only album.

Dansco does not sell anything from their website.

To be clear, this is not their website—it is a vendor, not Dansco...

Ah, I see. I was given to believe that was their website for years.

Do they even have an actual website?
