Found a interesting 1958 D Nickel with what I thought was a rim clip of the obverse near the beginning of the motto IGWT! However when I examined the coin closer, you could see where it cut into the base of Jefferson, at the top of the word IN of the motto and stop at the G in GOD. But flip the coin over to UNUM of the reverse it was ok and showed no problem. So I held the edge of the coin to the microscope and took several shots of the edge. Apparently it lost a small divot of metal of the obverse possibility at the time the coin was minted. As I have never seen this before I thought take pics and see if anyone could identify what happened to this Nickel. Let me know your thoughts and as always regards.
