I'm not gonna lie I'm getting a little frustrated with myself here. I'm sure you all are as well! Try this again! Is this 1986 D penny double die? Especially the 8 in the date? I'm 99% sure it is but we all know how wrong I've been before.....

Agree, Die Deterioration issues--also shows with the 6. Be patient when it comes to finding true, easily seen DDOs and DDRs (emphasis on easily seen). There're out there, but not in humongous numbers.

Given the photos posted, I can't make any sense of that linear feature in Abe's head. A closer-in, sharp pic might help.
