This appears in part to be a die chip or a die crack or nothing but a scratch. I've tried the aluminum foil test to see if the entire line is raised but am still not sure. I'm assuming that since it appears to go through some of the letters that it's a scratch and yet I see portions of raised lines. Could those areas just be moved metal making this entire puzzle-piece looking area from rim to rim just an unusual scratch?

Looks like a scratch to me. Some of the metal has been "smushed" around.

Not possibly a retained die break?
