Hello, I have never posted before, also I am newer to this. I get mixed a lot on Doubled Dies and Machine Doubling. However, can I get some insight on this please, I am thinking it could be a DDR but not sure, also has the filled in "IN" and mintmark I believe, unless is wear.

See error-ref.com to study types of doubling. Now when letters and numbers are "filled in" it's usually because of a broken post on the die or it could be a plating blister. Nothing special.

Reverse is either Machine Doubling or reflection doubling (from your lighting) and the mintmark looks like it took a circulation hit.

1st..... to CCF

2nd...when viewing mint marks look for rpm's and forget all the hype and ebay lies about filled in mint marks. They don't add any value.

3rd...sorry to say I'm not seeing any doubling, but keep looking they are out there.

Good luck, have fun and keep asking when needed...we're all here to help

to the CCF.

The above advice is very good. The first step is to learn the difference between true Doubled Dies and worthless doubling. Wexler has a section that will help you, and other novices to learn the difference.

Thank you all for the replies, I'm going to try to study some more on the differences on the Doubled Dies and DDD, Machine Double and such. I will be posting more soon. Thanks.
