Nice example of vicious post-strike damage. I'd suggest flattening those staples--no need to risk scratching other coins the 2x2 may come in contact with.

Another lawnmower coin. One of the first things to learn in errors is, if you have a divot, scratch, or any other mark on the coin with a corresponding buildup of metal above the surface, 99.99% of the time it's damage. It just can't happen in the minting of coins. A good thing to learn is what the process of minting a coin involves.
