I have a penny from 1982, but I cannot tell if it's a small date or a large date. I am hoping it's small, then it's worth something. Can anyone tell me? This does weigh 3.11. Edited by Newatthis1111 11/28/2024 01:08 am

The best way I've found to identify the small date is to look at the top circle of the "8". If the top circle of the 8 is smaller than the bottom circle, you have a small date. If the circles are even, you have a large date.

Appears to be a large date--photos are a tad difficult to evaluate. I always go with the shape of the 2 in 1982.
