Finally have this recent pickup in hand. Normally I'd call it a cherry pick but the Overton (115a) is so blatantly obvious that I have a hard time believing the seller missed it. Definite old cleaning - question as to whether it would straight and what grade you think it hits. If consensus is no on straight I'll likely return.

No way it straight grades, but it's a super nice variety and I'd want it anyway.

I don't see anything that would keep it from straight grading with certainty. The photos are a lot brighter than the seller's photos, so I assume it looks slightly darker in hand. Not arguing about the cleaning, but it appears to be market acceptable in my opinion.
I see some glow around the stars, does it have luster?

The photos suggest a reflective (e.g. lightly polished) appearance which is at odds with a circulated coin in this grade.

Yes, slightly reflective, but it's also a circulated VF coin with moderately heavy toning. Not a "polished" look that may end up passing at a TPG. I'm just saying there is more to look at than the reflection of the light on the surface.

I'll take another set of images in a bit - the ones above are fairly representative of in-hand. I knew it was cleaned but questioned the grade - top side of crack appears XF while bottom barely makes VF. I assume that is something TPGs might account for and net out. Also assume it is a die-related strike issue.

Still like the color and yes there is some light cleaning in the fields. I like it more for the die break and think it's a keeper if you didn't overpay.

I paid 325 - VG08 straight sold on GC for 870 a week ago. It is an R4+

I don't think it straight grades. It's not a horrible looking cleaned coin. It only matters whether you like it but the coin will only appeal to a limited audience.
