Looks VF to me but I'm wondering if it's been cleaned. Can you tell anything from these pics? I think the lines in the left obverse field are from die polishing.

I'm not very familiar with Half Dollars, but as a coin in general it appears cleaned to me. Looks like hairlines going in all different directions, particularly on the Obverse. Again, I haven't looked at many of these so this may be due to other factors.

What's going on with the reverse rim at about 7 o'clock? Also, looks cleaned to me.

I just noticed that, too. I guess this coin's been whizzed.

Based on the fuzzy photos, I don't think the coin was whizzed, but yes cleaned at some point. The left obverse field looks like a big fingerprint to me. Reverse at 7 o'clock looks like a ding. Grade wise looks about XF. Also looks to be the small letter variety, but not 100% certain of that.

Personally, not loving the look of this one. Common date, I think you should hold out for something better unless the price is too good to pass up.

I'll say EF-40, old cleaning but would probably grade straight.

Moderately cleaned. That's a fingerprint in the left obverse field.

Generally bust halves do not come with die polish lines like other series. When polished, the dies had a mirror shine with no lines.

XF cleaned
Suffering from bust half fever.
