what kind of error is this and where can I find more details about this error. Looks like a coin on top of a coin (mirror type error) doubling

Very likely deliberate damage ('vise job')--that mirror image is the indicator.

thnx for the replies, much appreciated. Still not completely convinced this is outside the mint mirror, been reading a lot on mirror re-punched mint errors and found a few references. thanks all

@gigi — no, reverse lettering is a vise job. A legitimate doubling of a die would not be backwards.

gigi, put a zincoln on top of another one and place on concrete. Bash with a hammer. Observe resulting mess. Throw zincolns away.
