im very new to all of this. I started by watching roll hunting videos on you tube. everyone who wanted to buy me gifts for christmas last year would ask me what I wanted for christmas and I would say I want a 25$ box of pennies from the bank. of course nobody had 25$ so I got 5 rolls from someone 2 rolls from someone ect. I ended up going to the bank and buying a 25$ box of rolled pennies I asked the teller if I could have ones that someone brought in and not new ones I only was looking for wheat pennies. I ended up with 0 wheat pennies but I did get 25$ rolls of pennies from the 1980s and very few other ones. the rollers they were in were all different. different cities and states older wrapper. I'm thinking that someone had cashed in someones collection of all errors I mean these coins have double on them that are 2 to 3 time more doubled then the picture in this forum. a lot of them look almost uncirculated. even the fg is doubled on them. iwhen I say every single penny has something wrong with them I am not exagerating. I have several magnifying things but I can seem to get good enough pictures that do the pennies justice. can anyone give me some advise as to how to take good pictures

@jill, first welcome to CCF. Second, we must have pics of your coins (ideally one per thread) in order to help you. I'm going to paste a boilerplate response below with some tips and tricks, but then lock this thread so that you can start a new one with your coin.

We will gladly help you, but we will need images first. We are locking this topic to prevent posts with "We need images". You will get many more quality responses when there are quality images in the first post of a topic. Please start a new topic when you are able to upload pictures. If needed you can use the testing forum. Tutorials are below.

Note: When you start a new topic this one may be removed. So don't panic if you get an email that your topic was removed it's only this one.

PC: We highly recommend IrfanView. (Download) (Irfanview Tutorial)

Apple Computers: Tutorial here: http://goccf.com/t/466343

Cell Phones (iPhone or Android): First, do not upload cell phone pictures of screens. They are terrible. Please check your camera settings are set to Medium quality. If it uses compression use 70%, it's perfectly fine for the internet. For file type please use WEBP if your phone has it, otherwise JPG. Avoid PNG and GIF, they are horrible choices. Be sure to crop the image to only show the coin. This is a great setup for cell phones.
