I'm working on a date set of 2 cents & picked this one up yesterday at the Atlanta show. The guy I bought from had 2 of those flat red boxes with three rows of 2x2's in each box. Most were in the AG to F range & a lot of the higher grade coins were either corroded or cleaned, but it was the most 2 Cents I've seen in one spot.

The pictures came out pretty dark. The WE is slightly worn but not as much as the picture shows. What grade would ya'll give this one?

From the pics its hard to tell but I would put it in the VF range. I am a little concerned about the last 8 in the date. Also check the 1 I see what might be part of another 1 underneath.

Nice coin.

The WE is a little weak, I think it would grade VF-20.

I'm not real happy with my pictures of this one. The WE & the second 8 are both slightly weak, but the picture makes it look like they are almost gone. In hand it looks like it's in that grey area between VF & XF.

Im going to say VF-20.
For the coin to be XF it must have a full sharp motto.

Great coin! Beautiful color!

It's definitely in the VF arena.

VF-20 seems most likely!
