Hello, Found this Lincoln Shield cent that is super cool! It is in excellent condition that shows so many different colors when slightly angled differently in the same lighting. I got my hands on a Federal reserve sealed box of 2022 D cents from the bank and Ivey only gone through 4 roles and almost every cent is 66+ MS quality besides the typical cents on both ends. It's super hard for me to capture the coins beauty with my camera setup because my lack of understanding how errors and light refracting glares. Any tips? I believe it has doubling throughout the coin but want your opinion. It kind of reminds me of the doubling that occurs in Liberty on the proof 1971 and 1971 no mint mark DDO. Not exactly sure he same, but I thinks pretty close pretty cool. Just going through four roles out of the box and two being just like this Cent is also pretty cool. I just realized I didn't take a picture of the back because I was being rushed by the wife so will get a pic later tonight, but what do you think? Possible DDO? LMK, Cheers.

It is hard to tell if your coin is doubled or just DDD here. Your images are not the greatest, please try again and get images that are from directly overhead, not at an angle.

Sorry but with the quality of your photos no one could give a true honest answer.

The average pictures quality was 4,7 MB and making it 300kb really takes away from the details that get seen from the originals. I don't get how people are uploading a 300kb pic with great detail. I'm getting better at it, I have to see if my phone lets me adjust the image capture to a max 300kb so I can see what needs to be done to get the pic I want.

Quote: I don't get how people are uploading a 300kb pic with great detail. First you have to start with clear pictures. Most of mine are originally 15 MB in file size. This next part is dependent on your photo editor. Crop the photo to show the details you want to show. My top to bottom is 5.4k pixels so that is my upper limit for square images and the file size will decrease dramatically (usually down to about 3 MB for me). After it's cropped, you then resize the image at 70% quality to the number pixels that will bring the file size within range. A 1K x 1K pixel image will vary for me between 150-250K file size, dependent on color variation in the image.

Wow I see the difference in quality now.... what the heck.. It's like my mind was playing a trick on me. In my mind I was thinking the image was a higher quality then it actually was, because I have the coin in hand and know what to look for in regards to what I see(or think I see) in my picture. It makes me wonder if I was right when I was told I was wrong with some of the error / variety coins I have posted in the past.

Here's a pic of the date on a Morgan dollar I took years ago, it's 101KB, a third of the limit. Quality has to do with lighting, technique, focus, setup. etc The focus issues on yours make me think you're holding your camera when you take them, a big no-no. Try this setup. http://goccf.com/t/422658

bobby131313 Are the last photos I uploaded better? The first set of photos I used my phone. The last few I uploaded I used my microscope and the picture was around a 20mb photo then reduced to 4:3 and took away quality into 300kb. Any noticeable difference?

Thank you for the tip Seeker_101 ,can you see a difference in quality? Started with 20mb average pics, then changed to 4:3 then reduced quality into it was around 300KB. Is this better Errers and Varietys , Greasy Fingers , Coinfrog ? Cheers and thanking you for the feed back on images. I didn't realize how much the quality was lacking because I have the coin in hand and see what I see and my mind was playing tricks one me. Cheers!

With the newest photos...if I had to venture my opinion, I'd say I think your light source is causing reflection doubling (especially with photos of the reverse). Try covering light source with a coffee filter or plain paper. Good luck but once you master your photos we all can help out more.
