*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's essential to have it in the title. ***

I have these 2 coins with similar doubling of the date and mint mark. One is a 1992 D and the other a 1990 D Lincoln Cent. Are they doubled die?

These look to me to be examples of die detioration doubling, not doubled die coins. One of the clues would be that the coin doesn't look sharp and crisp even if it seems to be only lightly circulated or in mint state, due to the wear and tear of the worn out die. Worn dies will make everything on the coin seem mushy and less detailed, like a blurry picture instead of one in focus. Sometimes you can see radial flow lines spreading out from the center. A full picture of the obverse and the reverse would help in trying to assist you.

Look up Die Deterioration Doubling at error-ref.com for an explanation. Read error-ref.com like a book to be able to sort out collectable coin errors from things like this.
