I read a post about this but the person didn't send a picture that I can not find. Attached is a picture of the penny 1983d that weighs 2.39 the other 1983 pennies I have do weigh between 2.5 to 2.8
Could this be an error?
Thank you for your time

Welcome to the forum. There is an allowable Weight Tolerance for coins which I believe is .10 + or -, meaning anything from 2.4 to 2.6 is completely normal. Even if your scale is accurate, yours is so close to acceptable weight to be insignificant.

Sugarland!

The target weight of this coin is 2.5 grams. Actual weights vary and I believe yours is within acceptable tolerances.

to CCF.
It does appear that your coin shows some wear on it, so that may help to contribute to the weight loss some.
