I have a 2015 penny that I cannot find anything about. It weighs 2.48 grams and is oversized with no stretching. It sounds as a different metal when listening to each penny. I think that it may be some other type of metal but it weighs the same as a regular penny. Any thoughts.

Could be a so-called Texas Cent.

I wonder if a Texas Cent is related to Texas toast?

to CCF.
Agreed a so-called ' Texas Cent'. A zinc cent that has been crushed a bit to enlarge it in order to get the copper plating to come off. (in theory, anyway)

Thanks Dearborn. I'd never heard that before.

to the CCF Is it the first one, or the second one? The first one is zinc rot, can't see anything wrong on the second.
