This is my 2000 Virginia Quarter Dollar. This caught my attention immediately. It's not the "dryer" variety, because it would have worn the middle raised center detail off the sail. The edge is copper colored without reeds! Looks like the "All Seeing Eye of Horus", when it is NOT magnified. I need input on this one as well. Thank you.

Can you post a picture of the obverse? Could just be PMD.

Here is the edge of my 2000 Virginia State Quarter Dollar with a possible die adjust/weak strike?
No reeded edge.

It is indeed a Dryer Coin.No doubt about it. I've seen 10s of thousands of these.

How exactly does one determine a Dryer Coin? I am new to collecting and fascinated to know.

Looks more like someone sanded off the reeds and some of the reverse. To have been a Dryer Coin, with that much damage to the reeds there would be more damage to both the obverse and reverse.
