Have you compared the weight of other coins to confirm your scale is accurate?

NO don't scratch it that would de-value it, just be patient.
You need to confirm the weight first, as mentioned above.
Scale accuracy and compare it to another known copper one cent.

An accurate weight--to two decimal places is important. Yes, try 'calibrating' the scale using cents which are certain to be copper.

If your scale is correct, that would be one heck of a find.

Just put a 1990+ cent on it. You know for sure that will be 2.5g. I would be cautious that the scale isn't rounding 2.5 up to 3.0.

If it is indeed 3.0g, that's a tremendous find, and congrats.

It would be an awesome find but I have my doubts. I see what look like plating bubbles between GOD and WE along the rim, near the MM, first 2 bays of the memorial, dot before UNUM, and under the NT of CENT. I also note the scale reads to 3 different accuracies depending on weight range. Is the range selected automatically or manually? Accuracy to .5 g could easily make a zincoin 3.0 g.

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade. I hope it actually is copper but there are questions.

Will do with my luck it's wrong but I did check it against a 2020 penny that is 2.5 and a 1966 penny 3.1
