1943 Washington Quarter Doubled Die Obverse / DDO -001

Willburton Pillar of the Community United States 2558 Posts	Posted 01/16/2025 7:59 pm This is my favorite year for quarters! This die is pretty run of the mill as far as the doubling on the motto and date. It is also rather highly regarded for a minor die. Wexler describes this die better than vv. There are a few similar dies this year. If you are trying to confirm that you have a DDO-001 coin, the best die marker is a scratch on the R of DOLLAR. I posted an image below. Thanks for looking!
