This is my favorite year for quarters! This die is pretty run of the mill as far as the doubling on the motto and date. It is also rather highly regarded for a minor die. Wexler describes this die better than vv. There are a few similar dies this year. If you are trying to confirm that you have a DDO-001 coin, the best die marker is a scratch on the R of DOLLAR. Thanks gigi. There are two coins in my photos. The cased coin is harder to take pictures of. I have four of these all together. In spite of other differences they all have the same marker on the R.
