Just Checked my 3 orders and all 3 now have a Back-ordered to 7/15 comment these are orders placed at 12:12 on the 14th How is it possible that the Mint did not have any stock prepared for these sales?  At this date 2010 cents won't be available until the summer of 2011

Mine too ! I got my order in at 12:14. It was due to ship on 5/29 I think. Now says backoedered to 7/15.....huuuuummmmmm.

If you order LP2 from the mint as of today it says, Product will be available for shipping 06/02/2009? I also ordered on the 14that 12:17, my backorder date changed from 5/29 TO 7/15...Here we ago again...

Well just went to the dump bank and dropped allot of nickels. I asked the teller if they had the new pennies and she said they expect them next week CRAP I hope not I will not be here will be gone till une 3rd with my luch they will get them and be gone till I get back. Will be like pullingt teeth to ty and get the wife to go get me some let alone go to the five banks and get some from each well hope they are not in next week DID I SAY THAT. I will check the banks in Indiana that is where I will be not sure how friendly they will be. Traveling allot I learned some banks are not friendly at all and others seem to bend over backwards to please you. I usually just get no we do not have those but learned a tick  no well I just called and they said you had the new pennies then they usually actually check and most of the time find they do have the new whatever  Oh well got 5 sets coming from the mint maybe 10 sets if my second order for the daughter gets through ok. |

Did you get an email changing the date? My email said 6/29/2009. They are sold out at the mint. That 6/2/09 is crap... read the text... nough orders have already been taken to meet the maximum limit for the Lincoln Cent Two-Roll Set "Formative Years" (LP2). We will continue to accept orders in the event cancellations occur. Should products become available, these "wait list" orders will be considered and processed on a first-in, first-serve basis. Although you will receive an order confirmation and may receive 30-day and/or 45-day backorder communications, these should not be taken to mean order acceptance, and in fact, may be followed by a sold-out (cancellation) notification. So my order on 5/14/2009 maybe be followed by a sorry we messed up message? -SFWUSC |

12:11 AM? Is that 5/15/09 12:11 AM or 5/14/09 12:11 PM ?
I am confused bc they didn't go on sale until 5/14/09 12:00 PM.

I think they started selling them before they fired up the presses this time. |

My word, the mint and their shipping/retail company pitney-bowes is totally incompetent. I was looking at my lp2 track order and noticed that my proof set was has been processed and shipped and says that it was shipped on 5/4/2009. But my card has not been charged yet. Their tracking/shipping system is totally useless and seems to randomly pick dates and order status.
Just like with the lp2's the ship date seems to change daily without any rhym or reason. If we realistically won't receive them unitl Christmas, then fine, tell me that, but to constantly change the dates to the point where I have no idea what to expect really makes me mad.
This is why monopolies are illegal...but of course doesn't apply to the gov.

The MINT has to get a new shipping company as the one they have now stinks! Why should it take till July to get coins that were to have been made by May 14th That shipping company as I have been saying just keeps getting worse and worse. I just saw an article in Coin World that said they were cleaning up there shipping process to speed things up and stop back orders what a joke that is. |

Yes just checked both orders I placed both say 7/15 that stinks we order these the 1st day something that is to be there and two months.
I think they have not even made these special sets yet they wait to get an idea of how many they will sell.
Sure seems like it otherwise why would it take two months to process something that is sitting there?

So are you back ordered like not getting them or back ordered will get them.
I have ordered 5 sets, but my date is 6/29/2009. Yet my order time is after yours by around 2 hours as my internet to their website sucked it up.
Did you get an email changing the order date?
I am worried now.
