Any opinions on this LSC? There's a slight pressure mark on the opposite side. Maybe where someone held it while they snipped it? Either way, where's the zinc?   |

Could be a Blowhole - plating covered the zinc on the interior edges. The area on the edge opposite of the Blowhole could be Blakesley effect. Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

your image looks very strange almost paint shopped.
Sometimes a complete crop like what was done above, will change the appearance.

It was on ebay. It sold today for $306. Gave me a sick feeling when it blew past my bid. Anyone have a guess what it's worth if it's a fissure, blow out, or the like? I did a comprehensive search, and nothing online was as extreme, if that's what it was. Sorry about the blurry images from the ebay ad. It probably didn't help that I did a background subtraction on the images to preserve as much resolution as possible. I might have caused some edge issues. Edited by CentR

I would not trust it without it being graded by a reputable TPG first. IMO probably better you didn't win this auction. |
