What would this one grade? I think it is a Double Date VAM, I dont think you can tell by the pic. Is it worth slabbing these coins?

Thank y'all.

For the grade I will guess about a VF-35

For the VAM I will let someone else take a shot :)

I'm thinking at least XF45 and maybe AU50 - note the remaining detail in the cotton bolls and the eagle's legs. As Twangator says, there's not enough detail to attribute the VAM, but it's not one of the immediately-obvious ones.

There's no real worth in slabbing this one - it'd cost more than the coin's market value.

OOPS - almost forgot
to CCF.

probably not worth slabbing
but is worth keeping.
I would guess these are scans and not pics.
I think your 'scans' do not show very well.
I'm going for AU maybe better. It is very hard to tell.

Thank you all for sharing your knowledge. I am using a scanner and it is not the best, I know. Any idea on how to get good pictures? Is it a special camera? Lens? Program? I tried using my Nikon D60 and I was not able to get any good pictures from this camera.

Any ideas?
Maybe a better scanner?

WHOA!
Got a Nikon and can't take good pics. Maybe there is something wrong with it. You should send to me for a good inspection
Only kidding.
Did you try the macro mode. Directions should show how to change settings from normal focus to 'close up' focus. Stabilize, tripod, and take pic. I like normal lighting, color balance is artifical lighting issue. Keep the background similar in darkness to coin. Light coin light background. Dark coin dark background.
If not camera meter does not function properly.
Good luck.
Send what you got (regardless) then maybe we can better assist

to CCF Twangator!

I'd grade your coin AU50. Common date Morgan's such as yours are not worth the cost of slabbing. It's a nice coin that's worth about $20.

I give it EF-45, due to the amount of wear on the chest feathers.
Just me Two Cents worth.
