Let's agree to disagree on that point @lil. I think that if you stack the coins then you can get this sort of mechanical damage. However, your cent certainly didn't leave the mint looking like this.

Right - not from train tracks. Could be pounded with a hammer a few times being used as a "vise job" donor coin.
