This is the first cooper imbedded fragment strike I found and noticed the Copper Fragment is more jagged and ragged than the Nickle content ones. This is a worthy post and enjoy the pictures.

What are the chances that a fragment would hug the edge of the maple leaf so closely but I guess on the other hand it could have been pushed into that position. There's definitely something going on but are you sure it's a fragment strike? Pick it off to see if it's not just cracks.

Nice retained fragment strike . I curious if the rim above the T had some involvement

Sure looks like a localized small lamination to me as the leaf itself seems to also be involved. Just a thought.
