Not my coin, pics from seller. Listed for $54. I have it at VF so price seems a bit steep. What do you think?

$54 is too pricey, IMO. I'd look for a better deal.

Overall, It is a nice looking VF common date Morgan, I wouldn't pay more than $40 delivered. I will add that Greysheet retail for VF35 is $49. I see in ebay sold listings some XF holdered coins selling i$45-65.

Apart from the high asking price, I think I see some wipes marks on Liberty's face as well. As a result, I will pass and look for a better, more affordable coin.

Good choice passing. It has an old cleaning, 50/50 shot at straight grading. Also I don't think it has enough to make VF. F12

Quote: What would you pay, if anything, for this coin? Not much more than melt, which is about 25 bucks right now. Not a great date or a rare VAM and definitely not a high end coin. My 2 cents, that may not be made anymore.

Zero chance this is a vf coin, not sure how multiple people can think that.

Hopefully I will see some nice Morgan dollars with circulation cameo at the Long Beach Expo.

Slides through for a VF20. Would likely straight grade as the old light cleaning is not too Bad!

15 years ago circulated, common date Morgans were easy to find for well under $20, sometimes $15. It's amazing what prices they bring today. I still wouldn't value that one over $30 today.

Wholesale is about $35. About $25 of that is melt value so you're looking at a market numismatic value of about $10. It's not really appropriate for a dealer to slap more than 3-5% on top of melt but 20% premiums for numismatic value are common so I think a price around $40 would be reasonable if a bit high. Anything over $40 is IMHO a ripoff for something that is mostly a bullion coin.
