Well not a fake page, but home-brewed labeling on top of a blank nickel page?
I purchased this Dansco #7114 Page 2 nickel page off
ebay and I instantly noticed that the labels for each coin slot using some adhesive material to apply them.
Also, the top of the page has "NICKELS" printed like a real Dansco page does (not pressd on letters), but normally it would be "
Jefferson nickels" for this album, not just "NICKELS".
Finally on the binder side of the page, usually Dansco pages have the album and page # printed on it, this has nothing there.
To me it's pretty clear the seller took a blank generic Nickels page, custom labeled, and tried to pass it off as an album 7114 page 2.
I just wanted to confirm my suspicions here before I blow up this guys
ebay. Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks.
EDIT: I'm not going to fully name names here, but if you're buying Dansco stuff from a "Dude" on
ebay, you need to be careful. It was my bad not reading the full description, but I didn't expect to have that issue on what should be a new product. But, at least the refund process was smooth.
