Right, the cleaning doesn't look bad, If you are thinking about bidding then bid your max and sit back and see what happens. It would make one heck of an album coin.

It's still a pretty nice coin, even with the cleaning. If you want it, I'd go for it.

I think it is a tad over graded at net VF, and certainly not EF base graded.

Cleaned a long time ago a, now reasonably well re patinated, with no other major problems.

Personally I think The 93, 94, 95 Morgan's are a tad High priced, $3,700.00 for a " VF-Details.. ( til I looked up 2025'sValues )

Realizing I have bee4n away for Too long, ....

I too think this 1893-S Morgan dollar is Sweet, for a New patina look, Nice Coin. I also believe the NET-VF-35 should grade better, I saw EF on the slab label, Think it deserves the EF, Just my opinion.

I Too Enjoy the Morgan dollar series, Early in the 1980's I thought I would put together a Whitman, 2-Album set.

Then I also thought it was Reasonably Obtainable, and Rewarding in mint state. I Now see the Morgan series costing a " tad " more then prices of days gone bye. I am Loving seeing More and More People collecting the Most collected silver dollar in History.... Today is a More challenging Time,

I am fresh back from the Melville, Long Island Coin, Stamps, Cards & Collectibles Show, Thanks to Another member, Helder, I found out the show did not break apart, They just moved closer to the 495 ( Long Island Expressway ). We all have our go to Coin shops, Coin shows, I have been attending this show for decades before seeing some ole timers , Seeing the place like I left it, Bustling with Seasoned vendors, Selling the Morgan dollar series like days gone bye, Gladly showing people W/E they wanted, Raw, Graded.

It felt nice being back at the show, The Primary Currency vendor had Most of his Inventory out, I Could barely hold back my enthusiasm, Any Bills you Might of thought about, They were Right in front of me, WOW. Mikev50, Thank you for sharing, Wishing you all the best, MD

I understand '93S's are low mintage but out of the 100,000 pressed is there any way to know how many are still around ? Were there any melted and a count of them ? I'm just trying to get a understanding of this remarkable collectable. I'd personally love to have this coin.

Thank you.

According to the PCGS site, they estimate a total survival estimate of 9948 in all grades. Of that number only 123 are MS-60 or better.

Thank you for the quick answer. This explains the coins price and I understand the interest in it now. Despite the cleaning.
