picked up this morgan, any ideas of grade, thinking AU? my question is in the Red Book pricing guide AU is $475 while ms 60 is $10,000, why the big price jump?

Looks closer to XF sharpness to me. The scratch and gash might detail it.

I also think it would grade XF. AU is a touch of wear and this is a bit more than that.

Kennedy, Red Book does not provide population data. If you good to PCGS and look at the population reports, you'll understand why the MS60+ prices are what they are.

Looks like cleaned/dipped. Too much circulation wear for AU, I agree with XF

Surfaces look off. Probably EF details which would net it down to about a VF price. So I think $44 is not unfair.
