So 3 years back, I asked to have this coin graded by yall and if I recall it got quite the response all over the board (some didn't like the toning, some couldn't get past the cheek, some loved the reverse) Let's see what we get this time. I'm at ms62.

I'll say MS-62 at best.

Her cheek is pretty chewed up, 62 - I don't know if the reverse would even bring it up to a 63

My vote is at solid MS-62, likely shot at MS-63.
After the guesses are in, post a link to the old thread so we can see what was previously said.

MS-62 but that reverse toning is going to bring a significant premium and possibly a star with the reverse features. Spectacular flash of rainbow there.

The TPGs have tightened their grading on Morgans, so there are really two questions here: What would the raw coin grade on a bourse floor? And what do we think a TPG would grade it today? The reverse is better than the obverse. The location of the obverse scratches is a distraction. It's a date known for high grade and PL coins, which (unfairly) makes for harsher grading comparisons. It doesn't have the wrinkled nose and clenched teeth factor that usually screams "details" (like the gouge beheaded eagle on my last 1889-CC), so that's good. IMHO, on a bourse floor, it's an MS-63. Today's TPGs, however, would probably knock this one down a notch to MS-62.
