1955-D Jefferson Nickel: Die Deterioration Or D/S?

Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6454 Posts	Posted 03/16/2025 8:35 pm I bought this while hunting for 1955-D/S specimens. I thought it might be an OMM or an RPM due to the splits on the top serif of D. Under magnification, it's obvious that a fringe of Die Deterioration extends left from the entire back edge of the D. I am almost ready to put this one in the album or sell pile, but I wanted to ask: should I be more interested in that metal inside the D loop? Report this Post to the Staff

Maybe I should get it graded?
