Looks like some kind of die damage, maybe a gouge or dent? Odd that both dies look to be so worn out and not a single crack that I can see.

Likely a die gouge as suggested, looks like one over the s on reverse too.

By the S on the reverse is actually a hit the coin took. I looked at it closely to see the moved metal.
