Hi all,

I bought two Washington quarter dollars, PCGS slabbed. Cost the equivalent of $20. Both Denver minted. Anyway, the 1961 mint Mark looks very different under a loupe when compared to the other and was hoping if someone could confirm if this a D/D please?

I can't access variety vista for some reason and I'm finding it difficult to tell from other sources. Appreciate it May be hard to determine from these photos but about the best I could get. Obviously, the slab isn't giving this attribution.

Thanks and kind regards.

I don't think it's an RPM. It could be Machine Doubling or a hit.

2 PCGS slabbed silver quarters (presumably in MS condition) for $20, I think you did good there. As far as RPM, I can't tell for certain but I do see potential D/D East, but would need clear closeup pic to verify.

Hi, I will try again tomorrow to post a better photo of the mintmark. Yes, both MS65 slabs. I thought that was generous to be honest but worth the price in my opinion.

Easier to see under a loupe and the sun is shining today which is always welcome here but not so good for coin photos I've learned!

With the closeup, my best guess is multiple MD.

If there was a rpm there I think the MD obliterated it making identification very difficult.
