The best (and worst) part of it for me is that I sent him that coin in a box from my bank....and I STILL have never found one!

Oh well, it couldn't have gone to a more deserving collector!
Rest in Peace

Really ironical that I found a Philadelphia gem in a box of Denver intensive coins. I feel a little bad Chuck (but not that bad.) I'll still be glad to trade that one for some of the treasures you're holding. Anyway I'll keep looking for more goodies. Next on my dream list is a 55 DD and a 99 WAM - I know - good luck.
Rest in Peace

One more thing, thanks for the kind words Chuck.
I know this whole coin searching thing is just a numbers game with a big luck factor thing thrown in. Knowledge and patience go a long way also.
Anyway, Lord - give me patience but hurry up about it.
Rest in Peace

Just wondering if this has enough of a value in its condition to justify getting it slabbed for about $30?

If I were you I would have it slabbed. As the years come and go on old coins would be tougher to come by and a find like that. Sooner than you think the value of that coin will appreciate. Congrats.

It even looks better in BU, but you can take what you can get. I didn't find this one, so I bought it.
