I've never seen anything like it before. Could you post larger images rotated of the same area compared with the other pillars around it. Usually the bars on the 6 & 7 columns would be affected from this type of doubled die. It does look different. Probably why no one has commented yet?

I can't post anymore pics right now because the coin is on its way to Bob Piazza. I looked at the other columns and didn't see any other columns that were doubled.

Well its going to the source to let us know. Just never seen anything like that. I have a couple of ideas, but lets wait for the expert to comment first.

The coin came back from Bob, it is now listed on Coppercoins as 1993-D 1DR-005
